SA should have been pursuing this kind of initiative years ago. Thousands of houses and buildings are built every year and government manages hundreds of thousands of residential and commercial properties.
By now these could all have solar geysers, solar roof panels, rain water tanks, grey water systems, water wise plants, etc. Each in their own way reducing the burden on struggling natural and state resources (Eskom, water provision and treatment systems, et al).
My repeated challenges to WC and City government since 2000 have been ignored.
