The ACDP criticised this then and was ignored., and we agree with the anti – corruption campaigners who are calling for transparency i.t.o political party funding.
While recognising the risks of confidentiality to donors, we remain prepared to open our books to scrutiny but the ANC and DA continue to block such a law – one can only assume why!
For as long as these two parties continue to refuse and obfuscate, the electorate will continue to be in the dark as to who funds their exorbitantly expensive election campaigns which skew the electoral results because smaller parties struggle to reach the electorate with meager funds.
