Cape Towns Golden Handshakes not debated in public meeting

City pays out golden handshakes from our ratepayers money to two top execs in the city and opposition parties are not allowed to comment or ask pertinent, revealing questions publicly.

Further evidence that “transparency”, “accountability”, “honesty” are merely DA electioneering lies, and more reason why the City’s new “Code of Ethics” is meaningless.

Extract from the article: “The ACDP’s Grant Haskin said it made no sense that the council could discuss the renewal of section 57 contracts in public, but not their termination.”
